ModuleWorks announces that Managing Director, Dr. Yavuz Murtezaoglu, has been elected as Vice Chair of the CIRP Corporate Members Advisory Group. The appointment of Mr. Murtezaoglu is part of the CIRP’s goal to bring research and industry closer together.

The organization is dedicated to developing an international network of leading researchers and industrialists who work together to optimize manufacturing processes, machines and systems. The CIRP Corporate Members Advisory Group draws attention to the current and future challenges facing the manufacturing industries and identifies new areas for research.
Dr. Yavuz Murtezaoglu
founded ModuleWorks in 2003. Today, ModuleWorks has over 170 partners and its
software components are integrated in over 500,000 seats of installed CAD/CAM
software around the world. ModuleWorks devotes a lot of its resources to
research and development and the company is actively involved in private and
publicly funded collaborative research projects with leading research
institutions and commercial companies. With his experience, technical expertise,
future vision and strong network of academic and industry partners, Yavuz Murtezaoglu
is expected to help the CIRP to achieve its goal.
In addition to the appointment of Dr. Murtezaoglu, the CIRP also renewed the Research
Affiliate status of Dr. Denys Plakhotnik, Research Manager at ModuleWorks.
