ModuleWorks, the leading supplier of CAD/CAM components for 3-5-Axis toolpath generation and simulation have confirmed their partnership with leading educational CAD/CAM vendor, CNC KELLER GmbH.
KELLER’s CAMplus and SYMplus products are used by more than 6000 customers for CNC production and training in schools and universities in 76 countries around the globe. KELLER has worked with ModuleWorks for more than four years and their products feature tight integration with ModuleWorks simulation technology for realistic real time simulation with full collision checking and material removal for Milling and Turning applications.
ModuleWorks and KELLER have collaborated in a development partnership to adapt simulation for the real time environment and provide extensions tailored for the training environment. Simulation speed is proportional to feedrate and interactive methods have been developed to indicate collisions with the machine or material. Simulation can be driven using conventional toolpaths and CNC programs or by manual data input (MDI).
The development project highlights the benefits of working with ModuleWorks to deliver entirely integrated solutions. The standard ModuleWorks Simulation component has been tailored to meet KELLER’s detailed requirements with a completely custom user interface and many other extensions specific to the target application.
Yavuz Murtezaoglu, Managing Director for ModuleWorks comments “We’re very pleased to have the opportunity to work with our partner KELLER and help them develop the integration with our simulation to meet their exact needs. The partnership highlights the benefits of both our component technology and custom development projects, delivering industry proven technology in a relatively short period of time.”
